Flaming Cats

doireOur eldest, grumpy cat set herself on fire earlier.
We’re not unused to cats singeing their tails by leaving them too close to heat sources, but this was far more spectacular.
She’s a fluffy coated cat, unlike the other black cat, who is very sleek. Somehow she got too close to a candle in the hearth, and remained oblivious to the ripples of flame running back and forth through her coat. She was not at all pleased when the occupants of the room all shrieked and attempted to catch her. There was much muffled swearing (from the cat) as the standard “smother the flames” technique was used. It’s not surprising given that smother the cat was a necessary part. She was even less pleased when she was taken, along with the strong smell of burnt hair, outside to have the char brushed out.
Cat is in a bad mood but otherwise seems to be fine.
Plea for help
Can anyone in the US lend me an address?
I’d like to bid on these books, but the seller only ships to the United States. Is anyone willing to have the books sent to them and then send them on to me? I can offer reimbursement of costs and customised spreadsheets. Not much of an offer but it’s where my creativity lies. Maybe doujinshi if your tastes don’t coincide with my favourites, I’m not that altruistic.
