Why is LJ planing to purge my Dreamwidth account?
It looks as though it's an open ID account, but that was a horrible moment or two there.

Date: 2012-09-29 06:58 pm (UTC)It is an open ID account that must have been created when I left comments that link to my DW account rather than my LJ one. That's why the name links back to DW. The profile link goes to the LJ profile page.
I have to keep it active or I lose control of those comments. And now the good bit; you can't log into it directly, not even following the instructions the email gives. You have to leave a comment somewhere and authenticate yourself with open ID rather than logging in.
That's time I won't get back sorting it out, but at least someone on support got some points out of it.
