Today I have an ad for games
and I am displeased.
So I put in a support request, #1249610, and it's been made private!
On the other hand request #1249166 is still up and even got an answer.
Sigh.

What you saw was not an advertisement, it was a message made by LiveJournal to inform all the users about the Game Center. Besides being used to announce new features, the notification bar may also mention any future maintenance with the specific date and hour.
Sigh.
