The world resists
Aug. 25th, 2007 12:22 pmMy new dishwasher was delivered 3 hours early, while the old was was still doing its valedictory wash. I spent the day playing sliding block puzzles with kitchen appliances. It needed to be programmed before use. I had to read the manual!
It was most unkind of the wireless point to overheat and stop sending any packets while I was trying to configure my linux laptop.
I could become paranoid now I discover that, after I've reset and tested, nearly to destruction, the wireless point, the computer that serves IP addresses is down.Ah, it has a dead(ish) power supply. It has enough 5V to light lights but no 12V to spin discs. It's swap power supply time.
That computer has been running for 3 years underneath my desk. Plz send vacuum cleaner to save me from the dust bunnies.
