Well, I’m taking hold of life again.
I’ve signed up for tai chi and attended one class. I think there will be aching thighs.
I’ve signed up for Japanese evening classes again. This was hard since I dropped out last year soon after I was made redundant. Silly because I should have had more time, but life doesn’t seem to work that way. It wasn’t as bad as I feared. My conversational skills are near the bottom of the class but my reading and writing compensate. It should help to know that no one is fluent, but some how it doesn’t.
I’m teaching the first of five workshops tomorrow. Eight days notice so it’s a bit of a rush to prepare. Twelve women, at the last count, and very little idea of what they want from the course. Tomorrow they’re getting basic drilling holes in walls and Health & Safety. I’ll find out what they would like to cover and we’ll do drilling holes in the right place another week.
I seem to have bought an Izumo and Kotetsu doujinshi. Not sure what it’s about since it’s hand written which always adds another layer of uncertainty. I’m waiting for a Saiyuki package from the pumpkin people. They sell doujinshi just by a picture of the cover so it can be a bit hit-and-miss unless you recognise the exact book. There should be four by Angel Night and one by Flow Snow.
And there’s a Naruto doujnshi by Nanae Kurono on it’s way. So far I have resisted Peacemaker, but I have put an art book in a shopping basket and I do seem to have bought a set of DVDs. This is my definition of resisting.

I have probably upset the job centre by saying there was little point in applying for jobs that would bore me silly. Still since I get to pay reduced rates for my classes, £190 off is not to be sneezed at, there is some point in signing on There are a couple of interesting jobs advertised this week (not that the JC knew about them). One I could do, though it’s not ideal. The other seems to be all the fun bits of my old job without the strategic planning (which I didn’t enjoy) for a little more money. Serious effort this time.
