I'm posting this because I can.
Brought my laptop to work, intending to transfer the information I needed by USB stick. Switched it on and waited for what seemed quite a long time. I thought it was sulking because it couldn't find the home network, but when it was done it had found an unsecured network. And I can certainly read things with it.
It has the curious frisson of the forbidden.
I know it's old hat to those who do this regularly, but very few of our local networks are usable. POP3, will it let use the POP3 protocol?
