I went to see someone today, because he'd been given my name, to find out about possible IT teaching and I've been offered some sessions. No CV, no job spec, no application, no references, just "I think your the right type of person". Very nice for me, interesting and worthwhile and right in my field, but one has to wonder about transparency in recruitment.
And the first session is for an employer who turned me down for not having recent qualifications. <smirk>

Son and his girlfriend want to go and see Monkey: Journey to the West by Damon Albarn and they've asked me if I want to go too. I'm not sure that he knows it's in Manchester, but we'll work some thing out.
