Where did all the time go?

I had forgotten how much I loved teaching. The reward you get, when one of the students realises that they understand or can do some thing they never thought they could, is unmatched.
I had also forgotten how much paperwork is required. It takes longer to do the monitoring and recording than it does to deliver the class.

Went to see the daughter for the weekend and finally managed to buy her new shoes. They’re steel-toed work boots and they fit her really well.

The previous pair were more hole than shoe; these should be better for the winter.

One job application in on Wednesday and another due on Monday. This one's weird; no job description, no person specification , from an organisation that normally produces full application packs for the menial of posts. I have a nasty suspicion that there may be a favoured internal candidate and they can't be bothered to work up a full pack. But i can't get the job if I don't apply.

Printer died and despite heroic measures (3 hours dismantling and the removal of a bowl-full of sludgy ink residue) cannot be resuscitated. The set of spare ink cartridges cost more than the new printer, so I will be trying my hand at Ebay selling.

I have resisted re-joining the Folio Society and feel virtuous.

I really mustn't look at Korean ( learning Japanese is enough for now) but it's so elegant.

I can't remember who mentioned it and I expect it's available through torrents by now, but I have a file of "Death of a P..", complete with English adverts, which I could burn and post if it's of interest.
