Well, that was scary.
I was particularly alarmed by Rose wielding a pickaxe. Pity the poor actor playing Kel(?) who had to be near at the time.

The scribble monster was surprisingly effective.
And the much heralded “I was a dad once” line was a through away; nothing surprising to the Doctor, but a revelation to Rose, who daren’t push it. I suspect she’s going to consciously realise that they are not equals. Then with all the emphasis on family relationships she’ll go back to her mother.
Next week – Real cybermen hatching. That image is buried deep in my mind and provokes a strong reaction. Mary Whitehouse was right.
